The State Health Transport Organisation is mainly designed to carry out maintenance and repairs of vehicles for increasing vehicle utilization and enhancing reliability factor of vehicles

Aims & Objectives

  • The Aim of the State Health Transport Organisation is 

    • To reduce the Down time of the vehicles which are taken up for repairs

    • To Keep high percentage of fleet utilisation of vehicles. 

    • To Provide more fleet for the successful implementation of Health Programmes.

       

  • The Objective of the State Health Transport Organisation is to keep more number of vehicles in good running condition.

Functions

  • To conduct periodical servicing ,maintenance and to undertake all types of repairs.

  • To register new vehicles allotted for the various wings of Health and Family Welfare and to distribute them according to the allotment given by the Head of the Departments.

  • To suggest the suitability of vehicles to Head of the Departments as per the existing code rules and Government Orders.

  • To advice the Unit Officers of Health and Family Welfare Department regarding Fitness Certificate, getting Tax Free Tokens, Transfer of Ownership etc. for the vehicles under their control.

  • To propose the vehicles for Natural and Premature Condemnation based on the report of Technical Expert Committee of the Department.
